It appears some people don't know what we do here at 3Bs Biking so I thought I'd do a bit of a summary.
Well we are of course a biker B&B in the middle of France, in the Haute Vienne, right on the Dordogne border. We can sleep up to 14 in our B&B rooms, that's 4 twin rooms and a bunk room sleeping 6. All rooms are en-suite and unlike many other biker B&Bs we don't chuck you out during the day, you are welcome to enjoy the facilities we have all day if you wish.
Our guest rooms are in our beautiful old barn so guests get plenty of privacy whilst knowing we are on site in the main house to help if needed. We offer evening meals, by prior arrangement (the BBQs are always very popular).
We have a beautiful terrace overlooking our valley for taking meals when the weather is nice or just for chilling on with a glass of something cold. If the weather isn't playing ball we have a large dining room which used to be a restaurant. Our pool is heated (seasonally) and the hot tub is always ready to go, even in the winter. We also have a large drying room for your wet kit. Hopefully you won't need that but it's there if you do. We have a well stocked workshop if you should need to do some fettling on your bike whilst you are in France and we can help you source any parts, tyres etc which might be needed.
In addition to B&B we have plenty of space for camping. Camping facilities are basic (sorry, no electrical hook-ups) but there are 2 showers, 2 toilets and a wash basin available and if you choose a spot by the lake you can even get Wi-Fi in your tent. Campers can book breakfast or evening meals if they wish.
We are happy to run road tours as required and also advise on routes if you prefer to 'do your own thing'. There are some great roads round here, stunning scenery and of course the obligatory coffee and lunch stops.
We are also a trail riding centre where you can either hire our trail bikes & kit or bring your own. And again we can advise on routes or accompany you. We have a selection of marked up maps and GPX files that can be shared with guests. There is a huge variety of trails round here so plenty for everyone.
We are happy to welcome groups and clubs and you can mix B&B with camping if you like. Just drop us a line with your requirements and we will do what we can to accommodate you.
We look forward to welcoming you at 3Bs Biking.
Well not really resolutions but we are determined this year will be all about the fun! For us, as well as for our guests. Mind you, last year wasn't bad...we had a lot of laughs. We also learnt a lot!
I will be sharing a few 3Bs Biking offers in January so if you're planning your trip next year, keep an eye out for those. Bookings are a steady stream at the moment but more is always good :-)
In the meantime Arnie is very busy, destroying guest rooms! Well not really but we are updating the 2 old guest rooms as they looked a bit tatty, compared to the shiny new ones we built last winter.
So new bathrooms are going in, the very tasteful (not) carpet is being stripped from the walls to be replaced with something as yet undecided and the floor carpet underlay which was glued down to the floorboards has been painstakingly (literally...you should have seen my blisters) scraped up.
Bring on 2017!
Can't live with 'em, can't do business without them!
I've been scratching my head over this SEO (Search Engine Optimisation for those not in the know...basically means how likely we are to appear high up on a Google search).
I'm sure it is some sort of black magic. I think I've made progress as at least we now seem to appear but it's going to take some effort to depose the old guard! And nothing happens particularly quickly with it, or so it seems...
If anyone wants a website link and are happy to link back to us, let me know. Or if you're on a bike forum and mention us in passing with a link to the website that would be great. And of course, if you can do the FB sharey thing that all helps too. (I'm not too proud to beg :-) )
In the meantime Arnie has been doing useful stuff and making more doors. And the first was hung today on the toilet/shower block! As evidenced by the picture below. I think it looks rather pukka.
Weather here has been splendid all week, temperatures of low 20s and sunny. I'm not sure how much longer it can last though....
